Hi!
I'm Essi, a 22-year-old girl from Turku and a third-year BBA student in TUAS, specializing in financial administration. After high school I also studied in Turku School of Economics, in open university for one year, and that's where I'm trying to apply for a master's degree after graduating from here.
For the past six months, I've been working in Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology as a sales and technical services trainee, and as a site assistant trainee. I love working in such a global environment, as I've always known that someday I'll want to work and live somewhere else than Finland. Before starting in my current position I spent three months in England, in Manchester as an exchange student, and my family used to have a second home in the United States for nine years. Besides that I've been traveling around the world for my whole life.
So, studying, working and getting international are my biggest passions. Other than that, I'm definitely a sports person. When I was younger I did rhytmic gymnastics at first, and after that played football for six years. I'm also a former fitness athlete, and even though I no longer compete I love to go to gym and for long walks. I also like golf and yoga.
In addition to all the hassle, I like to spend time with my friends, family and our dog Max, and just relax at home watching movies and tv-series or reading books.
Regarding this course and especially this project, I'm very excited. I think we have a good group and an interesting project, so hopefully we'll get a lot out of this!
